Isn't it rather desperate to call the very next day? Shouldn't I wait at least the weekend before giving him a call Ashley? [Yes, she's being serious when she asks this, she's not that great at male/female dating habits as he well knows]

[She walks over to her jacket, pulls a slip of paper out of the inside pocket. A coffee-shop receipt gets pulled out as well, set aside on the table.]

[Anika reads the phone number to herself, her mind taking the individual numbers and turning them into a mathematical equation, easy for her to remember.]

I'll call him. I'm calling him ok? Just don't listen. Or pretend not to listen or something. Just.. [she turns her back to Ashley, begins to press the numbers]

[she shrugs]

It says his answering machine is full. I can't leave a message now. I'll try again some other time.
