Oni was supposed to be sleeping, and Anika was supposed to be in school. Two wrongs that don't make a right. Instead the med student was standing on the steps looking up at the Mrs Howlett's bedroom window, and all but wringing her hands. Her motorcycle was parked several feet away from the house, tilting precariously as it's kickstand began to slowly sink into the dirt. And her helmet was lying next to the bike on the ground, abandoned.
"Not hurt, no. Not" The words came automatically, even though she was more than mumbling a little, and her eyes held that shine that could be seen on some accident witnesses, or victims.
Her voice lowered still further. "Need to talk to you. Not here, ok?" Quick, fevered glances were raised up at the glass windows of their home, darting, eyes roamed here and there to catch sight of movement. Any movement other than their own.
"Please Oni? Onid.." Her voice broke off and with a ragged breath Anika raised her hand, pointing at the woodline beyond the house.

"Over there?"
